Girl Scouts

Horse Fan Badge: $50/scout, requires approximately 1-1 ½ hours to complete. Badge requirements include:

• Safety rules
• Basic horse care
• Equine nutrition education
• Horse and barn maintenance
• Grooming and tacking
• Pony ride for each scout

Horse Fan Rider Badge: $70/scout and includes:

• All Horse Fan Badge requirements above
• Each scout will have their own horse to work with
• Leading, mounting, adjusting stirrups, basic riding position, asking the horse to start/stop/turn
• Riding at the walk, circling, halting, reversing directions, and dismounting
• Care of the horse after riding
